Banana Spelt Bread

Looking pretty tasty huh?

We have been eating waffles in an effort to cut back on our grocery bill and also, because they are quick and easy to make.  A friendly meal for a busy mom with hungry children and not a lot of time to cook.

So, today I guess I snapped and went overboard on the baking side of things.  It put something warm in our tummies and made my hard-working husband so happy he came  home bearing gifts of chocolate.  Not kidding!  I should bake like this more often!  Ever heard that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach?  There’s proof!

Try this delicious recipe for yourself.  If you don’t have spelt you can substitute any whole wheat flour.  Even rice flour or almond flour.  On a cold day such as this one I’m sure you won’t mind the oven heating things up a bit.  I welcomed it actually.
