Sometimes, the things that are best left unsaid stem from thoughts one reads…in scripture…the word of the LORD…sayings said in passion…made in a moment of inspiration…
“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;” ~psalm 127:4.
The most incredible blessing of having children is you are looking into the eyes of your future.
Such an incredibly beautiful thought! Those precious eyes, those sweet delicate voices, that angel soft skin…and those little hearts that beat because they were created in a moment of love, passion and inspiration…will one day carry your elderly body. So, to invest in your future isn’t merely by calculating your monetary gains and plans year by year…but to invest in the lives of your children..an eternal investment…minute by minute.
And in this quiet evening…those are my thoughts and my praises. Thank you God for my children!
How could something that smells like the sweetest candy but that wasn’t made by human hands have been created by accident? How could random chaos have created something so intricately perfect in every way? Sometimes, I just marvel at the beauty around me…created…for a purpose…intricately…by someone more infinitely beautiful.
I’m feeling the intense urge again to get out my brushes and acrylics. Inspired by these beauties. What will take me days upon days perhaps even weeks to accomplish….God did with a single breath. I’m sorry…no matter how smart and modern and vogue the science faith is…no matter how stupid you may think me for believing the unbelievable…I believe!
Parenting can be hard work. Being a mother, tiresome. Caring for little ones, demanding. At times it may feel like there is no end in sight to the dirty laundry, messy rooms, and disastrous kitchens after meal time and although my little ones never say ‘thank you’ I know that what I am pouring into them will be so rewarding when I am old and gray haired when they have grown up to call me blessed. This is my prayer. That no matter how tired I am that I will always have enough time to share with them and model to them what really matters in this life. Jesus.
To all the mothers and mothers-to-be and even some day mothers…Happy Mother’s Day. You do a beautiful work that the world scoffs at and looks down upon. A calling it is to be a mother and to invest in these little lives day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. I pray you all will be blessed and encouraged! I pray that you would speak with wisdom, that faithful instruction would be on your tongues. I pray that you would watch over the affairs of your households and not eat the bread of idleness. I pray that one day your children will arise and call you blessed and that your husband would praise you!
…taken from Proverbs 31…
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
